my best investment besides amazon so far!
on an unrelated note, I ask myself why my school can’t afford to buy better toilet paper than friggin’ 1-ply. may as well be sandpaper. >:(
EDIT: I bought at $23.20, sold at $24.92, total profit of ~ $8,500! YAY

Is this at a college or high school? For me at college the only times I had time to use the campus bathrooms was in-between classes, or while I was studying at the library.
Though if you’re in a dorm with communal bathrooms, yeah that makes more sense it would be weird to bring your backpack with you.

When I travel, I’ll be in Georgia this weekend, I carry a pack of One Wipe Charlies with me. They are fantastic and like $8 for a large pack. Prevents the BURN from airport toilet paper or hotel paper...

I first bought 10 shares of AMZN at $35. Real money. And it just broke $670.
Cool story, bro, etc. Of course, I’ve bought a lot more at higher prices and sold some off along the way...

Slow and steady...
Anytime you do well in an investment, you always wish you’d had more to start with (not my piddly $350...). And I try to never hold one stock as more than 7%-8% of my total portfolio, even if it is solid. Just too scary.
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is an insane genius and is going to put my kids through college in 15 years. Bill Gates (thanks in part to my mom’s smart MSFT investments in the 90s) basically paid my undergrad tuition.

the day I passed on buying 100 shares of amazon back when they were just $97 a pop is a day that will forever live in infamy. It still hurts to think about it... thanks for the reminder.

I don’t think I could bring myself to play this game. If I were good at it, I’d make all sorts of arguments to myself why I should try it for real, and then proceed to lose what little of my money I have.

if nothing else, the game is a good test platform for any actual investments you want to make.

Nice! I’m looking forward to taking a stab at some day trading in a couple of years.
